To prepare our MN contingent going to the Gen III Gun Match in September and the Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun Championship in October, we will be allowing the use of slings for the long guns in both the September 5th match and the October 3rd match if the stage design permits it.

ALL SLUNG GUNS WILL BE COMPLETELY UNLOADED WITH THE BOLT OPEN.  The 180 rule on slung long guns only goes into effect the moment the shooter has transitioned to it and begins the loading process by having the magazine in hand and out of its container/pouch.

Slings are not necessary for everyone, just for those who decide to use them.  For non-slung long guns, we will still have the normal staging.
